Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 04:35PM This last week I got to do another Spanish speaking wedding. It was great! The Oakland Snow Park setup was excellent. The Bay view was a perfect backdrop for the outdoor wedding.
I was really excited because I got to finally use my new 50mm F1.2L USM II canon lens and Cinevate Slider. The combo was amazing! I had a little bit of a challange with the Sun being directly behind the Bride and Groom, but I checked my footage and it looks like it came out fine.
One cool thing was the live band. "Justo a Tiempo" or "Just in time" in English. I was amazed at the quality of their music. I was told later that they are a professional band - now it makes sense.
I tried out the low light features of my Canon 7D and 50mm F1.2L USM II lens combo and was able to see video beyond what I was able to perceive with my bare eyes. So I'm very excited and happy to have this new lens in my arsenal.
The video is great too. Crisp image of my subject with the nice soft edges around. I hope to have a Highlights video posted soon.
